Essaouira is reputed to be one of the best spots in the world for windsurf and kitesurf in summer, and surf in winter. On Essaouira beach, schools rent excellent quality equipment and offer the services of friendly and competent instructors, to introduce you to the pleasures of these water sports. Depending on the weather conditions, paddle and canoeing is possible.

The discovery of beaches and dunes can be done by 4 × 4 , by quad , by horse , or by dromedaries. These walks are supervised by professional guides that we will recommend to you.

5 minutes from Dar El Salam, the Mogador golf course, considered one of the most beautiful in Morocco, will delight beginners and experts in the practice of this sport. In an exceptional setting, by the Atlantic, you will discover an 18-hole course (PAR 72), signed by Gary Player.

Cultural and tourist activities

Essaouira’s city organizes a many events like concerts, festivals all year long. Nevertheless there are three inescapable periods :

- In springs, « Alizé's festival » for classic, symphonic music lovers.

- In june, « Gnaoua festival and world music » will make you dance with the drum rhythm and singers and musicians who come from all around the world.

- In the fall, « Andoulasie Atlantic’s festival » Spanish and North African’s music and more explicit, Mediterranean.

- You will also find cooking workshops all year round.
